Service to Community Through Works of Mercy

As a Catholic school community, we orient our students to living a life rooted in the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. By serving those in need, students put their faith into action and encounter Christ in others. Through these intentional acts of charity, students develop the habits of virtue and grow as faithful disciples of Jesus Christ. Service through Works of Mercy is an integral part of our school community.
When you did this to the least of my brothers, you did it to me.
Matthew 25:40

We are called to share our gifts and talents with those around us through service. Service through Works of Mercy should be a consistent habit and attitude. Therefore, students are encouraged to spread their service out over the whole school year. Each student is required to:

  • complete 20 Works of Mercy hours each academic year
  • perform service through approved charitable organizations and events
  • submit all completed hours through MobileServe by May 15 of the current academic year

Completion of the 20 hours of Works of Mercy will be documented as "pass" and lack of completion as "fail" on the student's academic report card and official transcript.
